Postsecondary education is increasingly the gateway to family-sustaining employment. Yet, 52 million adults have no postsecondary education and the escalating cost of attendance, including tuition, fees and living expenses, serve as barriers to access for low-income individuals. Of the students who enter college, too few successfully complete programs and attain credentials for jobs in demand.
